I Get Letters

My inbox has been its own magical realm of ponderous nincompoopery lately, and some of the enchanting missives of which I am in receipt are simply too good not to share. Please meet my recent correspondent, Bill:

A screencap of an email with the subject line 'Corporate taxes?????‏' which reads, in full: 'Noticably, you are inextricably concerned over the fact that Obama finally has found a way to suggest that he is not the incompetent empty suit that fails to show any signs of understanding economics -- in that he expresses some willingness to reconsider his assault on corporate scoundrels by moderating his tax assault. It might be helpful for you to recognize that coporations do not pay taxes, they just collect them for the government by incorporating them into their price structure and thereby pass them on to their customers. In the final analysis, we the consumer pay the taxes and Obama and other mindless democrats pick their teeth as they smile in celebration of their successful slight of hand. We who enjoy clarity of thought and practice personal responsibility look forward to the day that the Democrats get their heads out of their rectums and use the light of day to find the obvious truth which has evaded them for so long: Government cannot continue to grow unchecked solely at the expense of the shrinking numbers of productive citizens who actually pay taxes to feed the monster.'

Obviously, there is quite a lot to love about this email, but my favorite part for sure is "inextricably concerned."
