I've learned a lot of things about people during this Democratic primary season. Not one of those things has been good.
...Just to make things clear: the reason I posted this is that I thought it was a salient illustration of just how poisonous this primary has become. I just cannot believe that things have degenerated to the point where people have gotten this angry, this hurt, this raw. We started out with all the hope in the world, and look at us now. We're tearing each other to pieces. We're doing so in terms that I don't think any of us would have thought possible only a few months ago. Mostly, it makes me sad, but I also really fear for the future. If we've actually gotten to this point, where stuff like this is now part of Democratic voters' reality, where feeling this way and saying this stuff is becoming normal for us, then I don't know how much hope is left.
