It's official, Neocon Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani is five minutes away from standing in front of a crowd and telling them that he invented milk. Because if it wasn't obvious before, it should be obvious now - the man will say anything about anything if it can get him elected.
Especially when it comes to 9/11. At some point, I'm sure he's willing to photoshop a photo of himself standing at the base of the Twin Towers, bravely holding them up with one hand while rescuing babies and puppies with the other.
His latest tale of personal 9/11 heroism: Letting those that dedicated so much working at Ground Zero know that he did just as much as they did in the recovery effort, if not more.
Seriously.
"I was at ground zero as often, if not more, than most of the workers. ... I was there working with them. I was exposed to exactly the same things they were exposed to. So in that sense, I'm one of them."
Now that's how you respect Americans who dedicated so much of their lives to try and save lives - belittle them with lies about the work you did there.
Somewhere in the hills of Montana, or wherever he is, Ron Paul is laughing his ass off.
Update: Here's the video of what amounts to Giuliani telling sick Ground Zero workers to stop their whining, courtesy Talking Points Memo.
