Rep. Jean Schmidt says her comments Friday on the floor of the U.S. House have been misinterpreted and that she has been made a scapegoat by a media disappointed that Congress didn't vote to withdraw troops from Iraq.Utterly nonsensical. She's being criticized and mocked from here to eternity because she acted like a complete moron. It had nothing to do whatsoever with "the media's disappointment," which is, in itself, a completely stupid (and, incidentally, nonexistent) concept.
Doesn't she have any advisers? Someone tell this woman to shut up and quit making it worse for herself. Not that it wasn't funny at first, but now it's getting painful, even for someone like me who hated her rotten to begin with.
